Financial Analyst – Nursing Finance | NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital

• Mission: To assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of systems and procedures for managing hospital expenditures, revenues, and financial reporting within nursing finance.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial System Management: Assist in designing, analyzing, and implementing systems and procedures for the budgeting, reporting, and controlling of hospital expenditures and revenues.
• Reimbursement Analysis: Prepare and analyze data relating to third-party reimbursement rates and regulations.
• Report Generation: Prepare, analyze, and develop survey reports, cost reports, and other accounting reports as requested.
• Profit and Loss Support: Assist with the development and preparation of profit and loss analyses.
• Manual and Data Maintenance: Assist in updating and maintaining pricing manuals and other procedure manuals, alongside authorized manpower and activity reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, coupled with knowledge of budget procedures.
• Experience: New graduates or individuals with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply, demonstrating foundational skills in financial analysis and reporting.
• Skills: Knowledge of budget procedures, data analysis, financial reporting, and report preparation.
• Bonus: A degree or major in Finance is preferred.
