Financial Analyst | RunBuggy

The Tone:
This is a Financial Analyst role at RunBuggy, a hybrid position located in Tempe, AZ. RunBuggy builds the most technically advanced automotive logistics platform on the market, backed by Porsche Ventures and Hearst Ventures, transforming vehicle movement for OEMs and lenders. Since 2019, the company has grown to over 190 team members, connecting car shippers and haulers in real time across the U.S. This role is vital for providing analytical support to sales and operations, driving forecasting, budgeting, and planning, and translating data into actionable insights for the leadership team.

• Mission: Provide analytical support to sales and operations, helping drive forecasting, budgeting, and planning across the business.
• Tech Stack: Excel, CRM (Zoho CRM, HubSpot), AI tools (Claude, Copilot), SQL, BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI), FP&A tools (Aleph, Datarails, Vena)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model Management: Own and maintain the forecasting and financial models that drive sales and revenue planning, including supporting the CRM.
• Sales Partnership: Collaborate with sales leaders to understand business drivers, surface insights, and recommend improvements for decision-making.
• Financial Analysis: Build and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial analyses, such as trend, variance, cohort, and pipeline analysis, to support revenue growth.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts, working cross-functionally to ensure assumptions are grounded and current.
• Performance Reporting: Analyze budget versus actuals, flag material variances, and explain the narrative behind the financial performance to stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in finance, with a preference for CRM experience.
• Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency for financial modeling, complex formulas, and large data analysis; strong analytical abilities coupled with precise attention to detail and accuracy; excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial data clearly to non-finance audiences.
• Bonus: Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude or Copilot), CRM platforms (Zoho or HubSpot), SQL, BI tools (Tableau or PowerBI), or FP&A tools (Aleph, Datarails, or Vena).
