Financial Analyst | Everwise Credit Union

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Everwise Credit Union, located in the South Bend-Mishawaka Region. Everwise Credit Union is a financial institution dedicated to serving its members through various lending products. This entry-level position is crucial for analyzing and reporting on the performance of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan portfolios. The insights provided by this role will directly inform data-driven lending and risk management decisions, contributing to the overall health and strategic direction of the credit union.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Portfolio Analysis: Analyze and report on consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan portfolio performance, tracking key metrics such as delinquency, charge-offs, concentrations, and yields.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare routine reports for leadership, assisting in loading, balancing, and organizing financial data for reporting systems to ensure accuracy.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in financial analysis, forecasting, and budget management, including maintaining financial data, analyzing historical performance, and supporting scenario analysis.
• Risk & Compliance Support: Support credit risk and regulatory processes, including allowance calculations, basic stress testing, and assisting with audit and compliance related reporting.
• Data Management: Collect, validate, and organize financial data to ensure accuracy, and document processes and standards for reporting and data collection.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required. This is an entry-level role for someone interested in building foundational knowledge of loan portfolios within a credit union environment.
• Experience: 1-3 years’ financial or analytic experience required.
• Skills: Exceptional Excel skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams, excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data, knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Bonus: Experience working within the financial services industry is strongly preferred.
