Financial Analyst | Palm Beach Accountable Care Organization

The Tone:
This is an early career role at Palm Beach Accountable Care Organization (PBACO). PBACO is a healthcare organization that supports coordinated patient care. This position supports the financial planning, analysis, and daily accounting operations, which are crucial for maintaining the organization’s financial health and enabling informed strategic decision-making. It offers a recent college graduate the opportunity to build a finance career within a healthcare setting, contributing directly to the accurate management of financial data and efficient operational support.

• Mission: This person ensures accurate financial reporting, robust analysis, and efficient daily accounting and operational finance processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Generate financial reports and conduct variance analyses to compare actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior performance.
• Accounting Operations: Manage general ledger tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations, to support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices for accurate and timely vendor payments, and assist with accounts receivable invoicing and collections.
• Treasury & Payroll Support: Oversee the processing and distribution of vendor and payroll checks, maintaining precise logs and assisting with payroll data preparation and reconciliation.
• Financial Data Management: Organize and maintain comprehensive digital and physical financial records, ensuring compliance with PBACO policies and supporting audit preparations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field. This is an early career position, specifically encouraging recent graduates to apply, who possess a foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), general accounting principles, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, alongside strong capabilities in the broader Microsoft Office Suite. While not strictly required, prior internship experience or coursework in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a healthcare-related field is considered beneficial.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly and concisely. Requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential, coupled with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with the utmost discretion.
• Bonus: Experience with NetSuite or other relevant accounting or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software platforms.
