What You’ll Actually Do
• Planning & Forecasting: Own key aspects of Apptegy’s financial planning cycle, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain scalable financial models for revenue, operating expenses, and headcount, running scenarios to evaluate trade-offs between growth, profitability, and investment levels.
• Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to department and go-to-market leaders, analyzing financial performance and SaaS metrics to provide clear, actionable recommendations on initiatives and resource allocation.
• Infrastructure Development: Improve and maintain core models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks, implementing and optimizing FP&A tools and designing automated, AI-enabled reporting processes.
• Strategic Analysis: Lead ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling for high-impact projects such as pricing strategies, new product investments, and operational improvements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or similar analytical roles, with experience leveraging AI tools, workflow automation, or scripting to streamline financial processes.
• Skills: Advanced financial modeling proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights, and experience partnering cross-functionally to influence business decisions through financial analysis.
• Bonus: Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business with familiarity in recurring revenue metrics, exposure to FP&A platforms (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan), and experience with ERP/CRM or BI tools (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, SQL).
