What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive Financial Success: Provide critical accounting and analytical support, playing an integral role in the success of the company by analyzing performance and recommending actions to maximize the financial return for the facility.
• Conduct Detailed Analysis: Work under the direction of the Controller to prepare for and analyze a range of operational results, operating trends, customer profitability, capital projects, and incentive plan calculations, alongside budgeting and forecasting to assist management in achieving objectives.
• Streamline Financial Processes: Collaborate actively with the Controller to develop and refine accounting efficiencies, improve process documentation, and continuously enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures across the organization.
• Execute Core Accounting Functions: Perform daily financial activities of the plant, including the preparation of journal vouchers and active participation in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all responsibilities and reports.
• Ensure Financial Compliance: Investigate, review, and evaluate various financial transactions to ensure appropriate treatment, familiarity with financial policies and procedures, and strict adherence to applicable internal controls in all areas of responsibility.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business, or a related field is required, providing a strong foundational understanding of financial principles.
• Experience: At least 3 years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience is preferred, ideally gained within a manufacturing facility environment.
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry business practices. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with business leaders at various levels, alongside the ability to influence peers and management. Analytical abilities are key for interpreting financial data and trends.
• Bonus: Possession of a CPA or CMA certification is a plus. Specific experience within corrugated, printing, packaging, or related finance sectors in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
