The Financial Analyst is critical for maintaining robust internal controls and providing essential financial support to department stakeholders.

• Team: Reports to the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) within Learning Technologies & Spaces (LTS).
• Mission: Owns the end-to-end financial operations and internal controls for Learning Technologies & Spaces, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and responsive support.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Forms, Amazon Business
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Management: Process and maintain financial transactions by verifying PCard and Travel card activity, processing reimbursements, and creating requisitions and contracts, ensuring smooth transaction flow.
• Financial Corrections: Prepare and submit iJournals to correct account coding, move expenditures, transfer funds, and proactively resolve invoices on hold, maintaining accurate financial records.
• Reporting & Tracking: Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for Budget Managers, reconcile actuals to budget, and analyze data from multiple systems to track expenditures and identify discrepancies.
• Stakeholder Support: Act as the first-line resource for financial inquiries, investigating transactions, providing clear guidance, and recommending best practices to department colleagues.
• Budget & Forecasting: Contribute to the annual budget creation and year-end forecasting, ensuring expenditures post correctly and initiating adjustments in collaboration with Budget Managers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience, with a focus on financial operations.
• Experience: Two years of relevant experience in financial operations, including maintaining and reconciling financial data sets and accounts.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel; user knowledge and experience with financial systems like Oracle Financials; ability to apply basic accounting concepts; demonstrated communication skills; basic project management skills.
• Bonus: Experience participating in cross-training for core functions such as IT contact (STAR), Department Property Administration, or managing access needs for new hires.
