This is a full-time role at Edward Jones, located in local community offices across the U.S. and Canada. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, local community offices across the U.S. and Canada
• Pay: $45000–$100000 yearly
• Team: Leads a branch team, supported by regional financial advisors and home-office teams.
• Mission: Partner with clients to help them achieve their long-term financial goals.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Acquisition: Build relationships to create new clients through face-to-face and virtual sourcing strategies including networking, referrals, social media, and speaking engagements.
• Strategy Development: Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to create personalized, comprehensive financial strategies.
• Branch Operations Oversight: Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high-quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
• Business Planning & Growth: Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
• Team Leadership: Create a highly engaging environment in the branch characterized by mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An interest in financial services/markets and how they work.
• Experience: Candidates must possess at least one of the following qualifications: equivalent work-related experience within the securities/financial services industry; prior financial services and/or sales experience; or existing financial services registration, licensing, or certification. Additionally, all associates are required to obtain SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 FINRA registrations within three months and state insurance licenses, with training and paid study periods provided by the firm.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability in long-term relationship building, critical thinking, a love of learning and challenges, determination to succeed, and a passion for new opportunities. Ambition and self-motivation are also key for success in this role.
• Bonus: A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, and a background demonstrating professional and/or military career progression is valued.
