Finance Intern | EQT

The Tone:
This is a 14-week paid internship at EQT, located in Canonsburg, PA or Houston, TX. EQT is a leading U.S. producer of natural gas and the first traditional energy company of its scale globally to achieve Net Zero on Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. This role is crucial to EQT’s mission of fueling the future, contributing to its vision of becoming a modern, connected, and digitally enabled organization. • Type: Temporary (14-week program)
• Location: Hybrid in Canonsburg, PA or Houston, TX (Remote work considered for some states)

• Team: Finance team, reporting to Finance management
• Mission: Support EQT’s financial operations through modeling, analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives to create long-term stakeholder value.
• Tech Stack: Excel, PowerBI

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Work directly with financial analysts to support financial modeling requirements and enhance corporate models.
• Reporting Support: Provide assistance with financial reporting needs and contribute to the development of financial reporting dashboards.
• Data Analytics: Support financial analysts in various analytical requirements and projects.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the progression of special projects focused on digital work processes.
• Project Presentation: Present completed work products and project updates directly to Finance management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or MBA program with a focus on finance. Undergraduates must be in their junior or senior year.
• Experience: No specific professional experience beyond academic standing is explicitly required for this internship.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of financial modeling, analytics, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, capital markets, and strategy.
• Bonus: Preferred experience working with Excel-based financial models and PowerBI.
