• Job Title: Finance Intern
• Location: 426 Wells Mill Dr. Chartwells Oxford, OH. Note: Only online applications are accepted.
• Schedule: The schedule will be determined based on the intern’s class schedule and business needs. The position may have unpaid temporary layoffs during academic breaks (e.g., winter and summer) when food service needs decline. However, there is a possibility of year-round work, potentially at different locations, depending on business needs.
• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.
• Benefits Eligibility: This is a paid position, but it is not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.

General Description:
The Finance Intern will be a motivated and people-oriented individual working closely with the Chartwells Management Finance team. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical, allowing the intern to apply learned skills in a professional setting. The primary focus areas include Field Accounting, Operations, Budget Management, and Payroll.
Qualifications:
• Must be an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business (specifically accounting or finance majors).
• Prior experience in Finance or software knowledge is a plus, but not required.
• Computer skills including intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a drive for excellence and high performance.
• Strong desire for continuous learning and process improvements in working with people and technology.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, listening, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• General interest and knowledge (as a broad qualification).

• Field Accounting Experience:
• Reviewing Contracts for Entry into Database
• Reviewing Charitable Contributions and auditing receipts
• Conducting Payroll Accrual Validations
• Reviewing activity on Closed Cost Centers
• Maintaining Maintenance Requests from field operations
• Conducting Paperwork Audits
• Assisting with Monthly Close
• Operation Experience:
• Assisting with Local New Unit Openings under the Guidance of FA New Business
• Finance Experience:
• Supporting Budget Review and Analysis
• Assisting with Flash Review and Analysis
• Payroll Experience:
• Gaining Knowledge of the Paperwork and Activities of the Team through Filing
• Gaining Knowledge of Document Retention through Scanning
• Processing Payroll Work Orders
