Finance & AI Automation Intern | Faraday Future

The Tone:
This is an internship at Faraday Future, located in Los Angeles, CA. Faraday Future is a California-based technology company focused on designing, engineering, and developing intelligent, connected electric vehicles and related AI-enabled technologies, alongside robotics and a crypto business. This role is crucial for a technically-minded student to apply AI tools and basic coding within a public company finance team, speeding up repetitive tasks and gaining direct exposure to capital markets and funding activities.

• Mission: Apply AI and automation to streamline finance operations, support core financial analysis, and assist with capital markets activities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• AI & Automation: Automate finance tasks like data cleaning, categorization, research, and reporting using AI tools, Python, or no-code solutions.
• Finance Support: Support core finance functions including financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end data preparation.
• Capital Markets: Track equity financing, convertible instruments, and funding timelines; assist with cap-table management and investor materials.
• Research: Conduct market, peer, and investor research, utilizing AI to accelerate findings and prepare well-sourced summaries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong aptitude and genuine interest in AI and technology; some exposure to basic coding (e.g., Python) or building simple automations through coursework, class projects, or personal projects.
• Skills: Ability to read a basic P&L or eagerness to learn finance; comfort learning the company’s financial systems and working with data; proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Bonus: Interest in or exposure to capital markets and fundraising (e.g., equity/debt raising, ELOC/convertibles, investor materials, SEC filings); familiarity with Python, no-code automation (e.g., Zapier/Make), or AI coding assistants; experience building anything with AI or code; bilingual Mandarin Chinese.
