Finance and Accounting Leadership Development Program (FALDP) Full-Time Participant | Travelers

The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational role at Travelers, with occasional travel for business meetings and events. Travelers is a property casualty insurer with over 170 years of history, committed to taking care of its customers, communities, and employees. This program is designed to develop the next generation of finance and accounting professionals, providing a strong foundation for success and enabling participants to make a lasting impact within the organization from day one.

• Mission: Develop foundational skills for future finance and accounting leadership roles within Travelers, preparing participants to make an impact upon program completion.
• Tech Stack: modern analytical tools, artificial intelligence (AI) tools/platforms, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate across disciplines: Gain experience through rotational assignments within Accounting/Controllership, Audit, and Finance across various enterprise groups.
• Develop expertise: Build technical expertise and business insight in areas such as accounting and internal controls, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting and modeling.
• Utilize technology: Leverage modern analytical and artificial intelligence tools, applying critical thinking to evaluate the quality and accuracy of AI-assisted outputs.
• Engage in development: Participate in targeted learning and hands-on assignments focused on accounting, controls, finance, insurance, self-leadership, and influencing others.
• Build network and lead: Engage in mentoring, networking, community involvement, and project leadership opportunities throughout the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• Experience: At least one year of finance, accounting, or related industry experience, which may include one or more internship experiences.
• Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to apply critical thinking to evaluate AI-assisted outputs.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or greater.
