Job Description: Finance/Accounting Intern

This internship focuses on financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Essential duties include:

• Analyzing and forecasting monthly results across spending categories.
• Supporting the FP&A team in forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Collaborating with various teams within the Finance and Accounting department.
• Attending weekly FP&A meetings and other monthly departmental meetings.
• Presenting project results to team members regularly.
• Evaluating business processes to identify cost-saving initiatives.
• Reviewing financial decks for accuracy and consistency.
• Conducting ad hoc analyses of contracts, expense drivers, and other data to support operational business units.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficient communication and presentation skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to assist colleagues with various projects.
• Ability to work on-site at the Indianapolis headquarters (unless otherwise specified by the hiring manager).
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week (minimum 20 hours for spring and fall interns).
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Makes day-to-day decisions supporting strategic direction, often requiring independent thought and problem-solving. Decisions are typically short-term and of moderate cost.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to move around the workplace, including standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
• Work environment is typically not exposed to extreme conditions.
