Job Description: Field Technician Internship (IoT & AgTech)
neatMon is seeking a hands-on Field Technician Intern to assist with the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IoT systems in real-world agricultural environments in Napa Valley / Northern California. This is a field-based role.
Responsibilities:
• Install IoT hardware, sensors, and communication devices at customer sites.
• Assist in configuring software for data monitoring and automation systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and basic troubleshooting in the field.
• Document installation steps and service notes for internal tracking and customer use.
• Support growers by customizing solutions to meet specific farm needs.
• Travel to vineyards, orchards, and other agricultural locations throughout Northern California.
Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of electronics, sensors, or networking (e.g., Wi-Fi, LoRa, cellular).
• Experience or coursework in agriculture, engineering, environmental science, or agTech (preferred).
• Comfortable working independently outdoors and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Practical problem-solver with strong communication and observational skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel as needed for field deployments and service calls.
Internship Details:
• Schedule: ~15 hours/week, flexible based on academic and project schedules
• Location: Field-based in Napa Valley and surrounding Northern California areas
• Compensation: $22/hour
