Field Service Technician | Capital Business Systems

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Capital Business Systems, located in the Denver Metro Area, with initial training in Fort Collins. Capital Business Systems is a premier office technology supplier for the Midwest and Mountain States, providing multifunction copiers, wide-format printers, phone systems, and managed network solutions. This role is crucial for maintaining the company’s commitment to quality client support, as the technician performs essential field diagnosis and repair of various office machines for new and long-term customers. The position offers an opportunity to build a long-term career while troubleshooting mechanical issues, building computers, and solving technical problems.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
• Location: Denver Metro Area, CO
• Pay: $19–$24 hourly
• Team: Works within a team of supportive professionals.
• Mission: Perform field diagnosis and repair of digital copiers, printers, and multifunction machines for new and long-term customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Service Delivery: Diagnose and repair hardware issues for digital copiers, printers, and multifunction machines in various professional office environments.
• Customer Engagement: Interact with new and long-term customers in a positive and professional manner, providing effective solutions to their technical problems.
• Field Operations: Drive a company-provided vehicle, efficiently managing the stocked tools and parts required to be effective at your job across the Denver Metro Area.
• Technical Problem Solving: Utilize your interest in computers, electronics, and digital technology to solve complex problems and troubleshoot mechanical issues daily.
• Team Collaboration: Work within a supportive team environment, contributing to a collaborative and effective service delivery model.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational knowledge and interest in computers, electronics, and digital technology, combined with a desire to learn and apply new information.
• Experience: Practical experience or a demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairing hardware, and building computers.
• Skills:
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to diagnose and repair various hardware issues in professional office environments.
• Customer Service: Strong ability to interact professionally with customers and provide effective technical solutions.
• Learning Agility: Demonstrated desire and ability to continually learn new information and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Organizational Aptitude: Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail to manage tasks and equipment effectively.
• Field Readiness: Possess a current, unrestricted driver’s license, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, and the physical capacity to lift 75lbs and push/pull heavy equipment with assistance.
