Field Operations Internship, Power Market | Kiewit

The Tone:
This is a Full Time Temporary internship at Kiewit, involving regular travel and relocation across the United States for various project sites. What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate with vibrant and diverse teams to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial systems.
• Support both administrative and construction activities by reviewing proposals, specifications, drawings, performing material takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and effectively communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, assure quality control, manage and track costs and materials, schedule equipment, and administer safety programs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Early Career level with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and engineering drawings.
• Skills: Strong organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills; good attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log, or Primavera “P6”; knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA requirements.
