Field Installations Technician
TEKsystems is looking to hire 2 Entry Level Field Technicians to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This is a permanent, full-time, onsite position for individuals eager to start a career in technology installations.
About the Role
As a Field Installations Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing structured cabling and power equipment at our end client sites. These sites include Data Centers, Central Offices, and Wireless Cell Sites located throughout the Maryland territory. You will work with teams in “already built” industrial locations, ensuring projects are completed safely, professionally, and time-efficiently.
Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Installation of low voltage/data cables.
- Installation of power units and power equipment.
- Installation of generators.
The role requires the ability to work effectively in various environments, including large facilities, enclosed areas, and at height points.
Compensation and Schedule
- Pay Rate: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on the level of experience.
- Payment Frequency: Weekly.
- Work Hours: Full-time, 40+ hours each week.
- Schedule Flexibility: Must be flexible with the working schedule, as field work may require varying hours.
Requirements
We are seeking motivated individuals with the following qualifications:
- Should hold Low Voltage/Structured Cabling experience, particularly working in large venue environments.
- Entry Level Consideration: We will consider graduate students from a technical trade school to start off.
- Must be flexible with the working schedule.
- Must be willing to work on field sites, traveling from site to site.
- Must work well in teamed environments.
