The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) designs this experience to develop student athletes, guiding them in discerning their calling and career paths while introducing them to various aspects of ministry. This internship plays a vital role in advancing FCA’s mission by fostering spiritual growth and leadership among collegiate volunteers, empowering them to serve God as a form of worship within the ministry. Interns are considered collegiate volunteers and may receive a nominal stipend for living expenses, but are not employees.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cultivate Ministry Understanding: Engage in a comprehensive learning and developmental ministry experience designed to deepen your understanding of your individual calling to ministry through structured training and practical application.
• Provide Spiritual Leadership: Actively lead, conduct, and offer spiritual guidance to staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes, equipping them to serve others through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by a surrendered example.
• Maintain Spiritual Discipline: Commit to a consistent spiritual rhythm that includes daily prayer and dedicated Bible study, seeking the Lord’s will for the FCA ministry in all endeavors.
• Participate in Local Church: Connect to and actively participate in a local church community, demonstrating your commitment through regular worship and weekly involvement.
• Affirm Biblical Conduct: Consistently conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct, upholding FCA’s Christian beliefs and the principles outlined in its Christian Community Statement at all times.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a collegiate degree, fulfilling the role of a student athlete volunteer within the FCA ministry.
• Spiritual Commitment: Demonstrate a strong commitment to following a spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study, and actively participate in a local church community through worship and weekly involvement.
• Ministry Leadership Skills: Possess the ability to lead, conduct, and provide spiritual guidance for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.
• Ethical Conduct: Uphold and agree with FCA’s Christian Community Statement and consistently conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs.
