What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Processing: Prepare, review, and audit financial system entries, including medical, indemnity, royalty, and outside counsel vouchers, while ensuring compliance with disbursement guidelines.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, identify outstanding items, and implement solutions or communicate necessary actions, and review encumbrance requests.
• Operational Support: Handle Accounts Payable Help Line and the AggieBuy and Accounts Payable Help desk, managing emails and phone calls within specified timelines.
• Compliance & Guidance: Oversee, review, and audit financial and accounting transactions, and serve as a resource to educate departmental personnel on Accounts Payable procedures.
• Vendor Liaison: Serve as a liaison between vendors and TAMU departments or System parts, assisting with proper payment application and resolving payment-related problems or documentation needs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is an Entry-Level position.
• Experience: No experience needed.
• Skills: Knowledge of financial management systems and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and apply complex rules and regulations.
