Family Office Accountant | Wealthspire

This role is crucial for supporting the Family Office Accounting team, handling the accounting and financial reporting needs of a select group of high-net-worth families, accomplished executives, business owners, elite athletes, and entertainers. The successful candidate will play a direct role in ensuring accurate financial oversight and providing essential support for these sophisticated clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Functions: Prepare and execute all accounting functions necessary to report on the financial position of select ultra-high net-worth clients.
• Bill Pay & AP: Oversee bill pay functions and handle day-to-day accounts payables, including vendor management, invoice review, and creation of wires for approval.
• Cashflow Planning: Prepare cashflow planning for high net-worth clients, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and detail review timely and accurate financial reports and analyses, performing ad-hoc financial analyses and executing projects as required.
• Payroll Management: Maintain client household payroll and oversee/train junior staff to ensure accuracy of books and records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• Experience: 0-2 years of related experience.
• Skills: Expertise in QuickBooks accounting software; Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office products; Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy, excellent organizational skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: CPA designation is preferred; Master’s preferred; Financial Industry/Family Office experience a plus.
