Fall 2026 Co-op Opportunity
Our Dayton region is actively seeking a highly motivated individual for a Fall 2026 Co-op position.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
The responsibilities for this co-op role are dynamic and will vary based on the specific project, but generally include:
- Trade Subcontractor Coordination: Managing the workforce coordination for Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Building Controls trade subcontractors.
- Cost Management: Performing quantity surveying and cost estimating specifically for Mechanical and Electrical work.
- Submittal Review: Reviewing Mechanical and Electrical equipment and product submittals to ensure content accuracy and compliance.
- Installation Evaluation: Assessing the quality of Mechanical and Electrical Systems installations and monitoring their progress against project schedules.
- System Management: Overseeing the start-up and commissioning processes for Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
- Project Controls Support: Providing input for project scheduling, cost reporting, and other Project Management (PM) solutions.
- Quality Control: Ensuring quality control across Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection, and Building Controls systems.
- Software Proficiency: Utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Technology Use: Gaining experience working with an iPad for project-related tasks.
What You Will Bring (Qualifications)
- Education: Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is strongly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
