The TL;DR

• Pay: $21.04 hourly
• Team: Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
• Mission: This role is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of all airport facilities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Maintenance & Repair: Perform diverse maintenance and repair tasks across various trades, including electrical systems, electronics, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, painting, metal fabrication, and carpentry, for all airport facilities.
• Airfield Lighting Management: Ensure the comprehensive maintenance and optimal condition of the airfield lighting system, critical for safe aircraft operations.
• Hangar Electrical Services: Conduct all necessary electrical maintenance and repair work within airport hangars.
• Airport Property Cleanliness: Actively police airport property, meticulously removing all debris, trash, and other foreign litter to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
• Equipment & Tool Operation: Safely and proficiently operate various equipment and utilize hand tools in the execution of all assigned maintenance and repair duties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a high school diploma or GED. This role requires foundational knowledge of general aviation property maintenance procedures and practices. We welcome individuals at an Early Career stage who are ready to contribute to airport operations.
• Experience: Hold a valid Florida Driver’s License, essential for navigating airport property. Candidates should demonstrate skill in working with aviation and ground base radio systems or similar communication equipment, relevant for an airport environment.
• Skills: Exhibit the ability to problem-solve independently when faced with maintenance issues, or effectively seek assistance when complex problems arise. Proficiency in performing general maintenance repairs across diverse trades is required, alongside the capability to operate equipment and hand tools safely.
• Bonus: Specialized trade training in areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry is strongly preferred and will be considered a valuable asset to the team.
