This is a detailed description of the Summer Internship Program on the Events team, designed to provide comprehensive hands-on experience in corporate event management for the highly anticipated 2026 User Conference.
• Program Overview:
• Interns will join the Events team to actively support the planning and execution of the 2026 User Conference.
• This conference is a significant industry event, recognized as the world’s largest gathering of geospatial professionals, drawing over 20,000 attendees.
• Interns will work closely with seasoned corporate events professionals, gaining practical insights and mentorship in a dynamic environment.
• The program emphasizes participation in high-impact projects, offering interns the opportunity to make tangible contributions to the conference’s success.
• Key Responsibilities and Projects (may vary based on team needs and intern’s skills):
• Large-Scale Food and Beverage Coordination: Assisting with the planning, logistics, and execution of catering services for thousands of attendees, potentially involving vendor management, menu selection, and scheduling.
• Event Content and Agenda Management: Supporting the development and organization of the conference program, including speaker coordination, session scheduling, and content review.
• Sponsorship and Exhibit Programs Support: Assisting with the management of exhibitor relations, sponsor activations, booth logistics, and ensuring successful partnership fulfillment.

• Education and Other Requirements:
• Academic Enrollment: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program at a university located in the United States.
• Undergraduate Standing: Undergraduate students must be in their junior or senior year of study.
