SCOPE:

As an Event Staff Security Officer, you will utilize your outstanding customer service skills to provide crowd control services for various events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at both large and small-scale events.

Current Openings:

  • Evenings / Weekends (Primary)
  • Limited Day shifts
  • Scheduled for a minimum of 4-6 events per month

Job Description / Responsibilities:

Your duties as an Event Staff Security Officer at DK Security are determined by the client location. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patrons, guests, and performers.
  • Maintaining a Hospitality Security brand with all clients, guests, and co-workers.
  • Performing Access Control duties.
  • Following venue-specific guidelines meticulously.
  • Conducting Foot Patrols.

SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:

  • Reliability: Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
  • Friendly Personality: Balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
  • Following Company and Client Policies: Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined, and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
  • Use of De-escalation Techniques: Be able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other effective communication tactics.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 4+ events per month.
  • Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand or walk for 4-8 hour shifts.
  • Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations.
  • Must be able to work in or outdoors during all seasons.
  • Must be able to hear conversations (in person or via 2-way radio) in noisy environments.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
