Key Responsibilities
The Event Planner Intern – Level Two’s typical job functions include:
- Becoming familiar with the culture, history, and expectations of Boyne Mountain Resort.
- Organizing and overseeing all arrangements for corporate, social, in-house group meetings, conventions, and banquets.
- Determining group needs and activities by working one-on-one with various meeting planners and group contacts.
- Conducting on-site inspections and tours of facilities with prospective clients.
- Creating event diagrams based on resort and client requirements.
- Developing Group Resumes & Banquet Event Orders outlining all event details for operational involvement.
- Assisting with event set-up and banquet execution.
- Learning any tasks relevant to your educational experience as assigned by the department manager.
Qualifications
This position may be an excellent fit for you if:
- You are currently enrolled in a related higher education program (e.g., Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Tourism).
- You are available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- You possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and proficient computer skills (especially Microsoft Office suite).
- You are focused, detail-oriented, able to display positive customer service, and thrive as a team player.
- You are over 18 years old.
- You have successfully completed a prior entry-level event planning, food and beverage, or related internship.
