Equity Research Associate – Software & Business Services | TD

This role is crucial for providing high-quality, comprehensive market research and analysis on individual corporations, industries, financial markets, and economic developments, specifically within the Software & Business Services sector. • Mission: This person compiles and publishes comprehensive market analysis and research for the Software & Business Services sector.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Compile, analyze, and evaluate data, conducting modeling on assigned companies/industries and financial markets for research reports.
• Modeling: Assist in preparing quarterly and annual earnings forecasting models, and maintain/enhance financial models and databases.
• Analysis: Stay current on market data, economic information, and key industry developments, adhering to internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Client Advisory: Assist in developing valuation tools, provide advice to institutional clients, and prepare/present client materials.
• Publication: Work closely with senior research leads on the ongoing publication of research reports and assist with ad hoc projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree. This role requires in-depth knowledge of market research and financial analysis, often serving as a subject matter expert in the Software & Business Services domain.
• Experience: 2+ years of related experience supporting market research and comprehensive analysis.
• Skills: FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, & 87 (or willing to obtain), Data analysis, Financial modeling, Research report development, Problem-solving.
• Bonus: Holds or is working towards a CFA designation; Masters or PhD preferred.
