Entry-Level Production Resources Technician | Ocean Spray

The Tone:

This Production Resources Technician position is crucial for supporting our high-speed manufacturing operations, ensuring the continuous production of our cranberry products while living the company’s values of Grower Mindset, Sustainable Results, Integrity Above All, and Inclusive Teamwork. This full-time, year-round opportunity offers significant growth potential in a production environment.

• Mission: Ensure the continuous production of cranberry products by supporting high-speed manufacturing operations and adapting to varying plant needs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Plant Support: Perform general housekeeping duties and provide direct support to Line Operators.
• Material Handling: Batch ingredients, unload sugar trucks, and stack finished products.
• Production Area Assistance: Assist in specialized areas such as the Bottle Depalletizer Room (BDR), bulk line, and refinement area.
• Quality Control: Conduct product testing within the lab to maintain quality standards.
• Operational Flexibility: Adapt to changing manufacturing needs by assisting in rework/repack operations and other duties as required.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career individual prepared for a physically demanding and flexible role supporting high-speed manufacturing operations.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to work 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 environment, including every other weekend and potential holidays, with flexibility for day or night shifts and overtime for coverage and training.
• Skills:
* Physical capability to lift up to 48 lbs occasionally, stand, and maneuver actively around a production line for extended periods, including climbing, bending, reaching, and possessing adequate vision and hearing.
* Ability to be or become Forklift Certified and proficiently use hand tools.
* Maintain excellent attendance reliability and communicate effectively for continuous line productivity and problem-solving for production line stoppages.
* Adherence to all Safety and Quality standards, including performing Cleaning In Place (CIP), ensuring proper equipment operation (e.g., fill temperature, fill weights, torques), and completing timely, accurate documentation.
