Job Description

We are seeking a safety-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Equipment Operator. This role involves safely and efficiently operating a variety of equipment while also performing general labor tasks. Equipment operation will be part of the role, but not the primary focus at the entry level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety procedures
  • Support daily operations through hands-on labor, including:
    • Using hand tools to assist with trench digging and site leveling
    • Loading and unloading trucks manually
  • Train on a variety of equipment to build skills and experience
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Operate heavy equipment in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines
  • Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure proper functionality
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment checks and performance
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to keep equipment in safe working condition
  • Clean equipment regularly to preserve performance and longevity
  • Perform minor repairs and report major issues as needed

  • Ability to learn and operate heavy equipment (training provided)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2+ years of experience working with heavy equipment.
  • Possession of commercial driver’s license A.
  • Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair pieces of heavy equipment.
  • Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment.
  • Strong work ethic.

Preferred Requirements

  • Demolition experience
  • Excavating experience
  • Doubles and Triples endorsements

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
