Description: Entry Level Engineering Aide (SDA Transport Layer)

About the Role:

This full-time position supports the SDA (Space Development Agency) Transport Layer program, which provides constellations of low earth orbit satellites and ground systems for national security space customers. You will contribute to technical integration efforts, including information exchange with customers. This role provides the opportunity for individual contribution within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Provide technical support to engineers on various tasks to facilitate horizontal integration.
Collaboration: Work with other engineers, interact with planning and reporting tools, document processes, and track tasks to completion.
Analysis and Documentation: Utilize personal computers to analyze data and develop documentation/reports.
Testing and Data Recording: Assist with engineering evaluations and analysis by conducting tests and recording data.

Currently pursuings:

Required:
• Associate degree in a STEM field, related work experience and/or technical training. Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered.
• Must be a US Citizen (position located at a facility requiring special access).

Desired Skills:
• Strong communication skills
• Strong initiative and self-starter attitude
• Understanding of space systems and integration
• Experience with software tools for tracking actions and schedules

Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedule: 9×80 (every other Friday off)

Pay Rate: $38,900 – $74,600 annually (range may vary based on location and experience).

Telework: Part-time remote telework is available (specific schedule will be discussed during the hiring process).
