This is an early career at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, a national ENR Top 25 General Contractor, specializing in managing all aspects of diverse construction projects. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing various phases of construction from inception to completion, reporting directly to a project manager or superintendent. Your contributions will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, making a tangible impact on the company’s reputation and success.

• Mission: Manages all technical, financial, and personnel aspects of construction projects from start to finish.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Coordination: Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors, or direct the work of all assigned trades.
• Financial Management: Manage estimating and bidding processes, track costs to manage project budgets, and provide field support for contract compliance.
• Issue Resolution: Identify, clarify, and resolve design issues, field issues, and change orders, and participate in meetings to address labor concerns.
• Contract Documentation: Write contracts and purchase orders using company boilerplate language to document all ordered work, schedules, projected costs, change orders, and technical specifications.
• Project Oversight: Implement project schedules, track phase completion against milestones, review drawings, specifications, and trade work progress, and ensure work is completed in accordance with quality standards and contract specifications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Construction Technology.
• Experience: Knowledge of engineering principles.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
