What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Treatment Assistance: Directly assist doctors during a variety of dental treatment procedures, ensuring comfort and efficiency for patients.
• Operatory Preparation & Turnover: Efficiently set up operatories before treatments and thoroughly break them down post-treatment, maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
• Sterilization & Infection Control: Manage comprehensive infection control protocols, including meticulous preparation and sterilization of all instruments and equipment.
• Clinical Documentation Support: Accurately support doctors in patient charting and maintaining up-to-date patient records.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with all members of the dental team to deliver outstanding patient care and a positive clinic experience.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level career position, suitable for individuals without prior dental assisting experience, requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. This role focuses on providing foundational support in a dental practice.
• Experience: Possess the ability to successfully obtain necessary radiology and safety certifications within the specific timeframe mandated by the state of practice. No prior dental experience is required for this entry-level role.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal abilities crucial for building trust and rapport with patients across all ages and diverse backgrounds. Exhibit a clear commitment to ongoing learning and professional development within the dental field.
