What You’ll Actually Do
• Cost Model Development: Utilize professional knowledge to develop accurate cost per unit models that directly impact sales pricing strategies.
• Monthly Close Support: Assist with key monthly closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, all under direct supervision.
• Pricing Quote Preparation: Prepare detailed parts and unit pricing quotes to support sales and business development initiatives.
• Sales and Materials Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of sales and materials data to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Variance Investigation: Analyze variances between actual and standard costs or budgeted figures, providing insights and explanations, with supervision.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Alternatively, an Associate’s degree combined with relevant professional experience will be considered. This is an entry-level position that requires foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), alongside a solid understanding of cost accounting and general accounting principles.
• Experience: Proficiency is required in common office productivity software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite, for tasks such as data analysis and presentation. Familiarity and practical experience with SAP, an enterprise resource planning system, are also necessary for this role.
• Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities for evaluating complex financial data and problem-solving skills to address accounting discrepancies. Effective presentation skills are vital for communicating findings, and strong organizational skills are crucial for managing diverse responsibilities and deadlines within a supervised environment.
