The Entry Level Accounting Specialist reports to the Controller and is an important member of the accounting department, crucial for coordinating and processing daily and periodic invoices to ensure smooth financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Billing Management: Generate invoices for service contracts according to established contract schedules and billing deadlines.
• Invoice Verification: Verify service completion, contract coverage, contract notes, contract billing lines, and taxes before invoicing.
• Submission & Resolution: Submit customer invoices through email and online portals, and investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Payment Tracking: Follow up with customers to complete payments within agreed terms, research late payments, and communicate issues to the Controller and Director of Finance.
• Department Support: Answer incoming calls to the accounting department, assist with monthly reports, and undertake special projects as assigned by management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional within accounting or finance.
• Experience: An Associate Degree or two years of relevant work experience in an accounting or billing role.
• Skills: High attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high-volume setting, dependability, responsibility, and strong communication skills with a positive attitude.
• Bonus: Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
