Engineering Technician II | Westgate Resorts
The Tone:
This is a critical maintenance role at Westgate Resorts, located in Kissimmee, FL, supporting the Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort. The TL;DR

• Pay: $19 hourly
• Team: Reports to resort operations leadership within the resort operations team.
• Mission: Solve maintenance problems and complete projects, preventive tasks, and work orders to support continuous resort operations.
• Tech Stack: HotSOS, applicable resort operations devices and software
What You’ll Actually Do
• General Maintenance & Project Execution: Oversee and execute various engineering projects, guest requests, rapid response “blitzes,” and scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continuous resort functionality.
• Multi-Trade Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair critical systems including plumbing (fixtures, piping), minor electrical components (receptacles, ballasts), and a range of household appliances and fixtures.
• Building Fabric Maintenance: Perform comprehensive repairs on interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texturing, painting, caulking, and the repair or replacement of tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet.
• HVAC and Water Feature Management: Conduct basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics on HVAC systems, and manage pools, spas, and water features, covering chemical balancing and cleaning protocols.
• Operational Support & Safety: Actively participate in material procurement and inventory management, operate resort operations software (HotSOS), and ensure safe work practices using appropriate tools and equipment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: No specific degree required; demonstrated hands-on experience in various trades and maintenance disciplines.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment, and must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Skills:
• Multi-trade repair capabilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general appliance troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining walls, ceilings, and various flooring materials such as tile, vinyl, and carpet.
• Ability to manage and balance chemicals for pools, spas, and water features.
• Competence in operating resort operations software (HotSOS) and safely using hand, power, and battery-powered tools.
• Bonus: CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license, as required by the resort.
