Engineering and Operations Leadership Development Program | Gemini, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Gemini, Inc., located in Taylor, TX and Decorah, IA. Gemini, a leader in the signage manufacturing industry since 1963, is looking for eager individuals to join its structured three-year rotational Engineering & Operations Leadership Development Program. This program is designed to cultivate future leaders by providing hands-on experience across key business functions. Participants will gain a deep understanding of Gemini products, customer needs, and business operations, contributing to a positive, people-first culture focused on leveraging team members’ strengths to bring unique signage products to life.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $55,000–$75,000 yearly
• Mission: Develop future leaders in engineering and operations by providing hands-on experience and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and leadership.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Improve Manufacturing Processes: Perform engineering work to identify inefficiencies, implement improvement initiatives, and apply lean manufacturing techniques in a production plant.
• Lead Production Teams: Directly supervise hourly team members, manage daily operations, and contribute to achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals.
• Drive Plant Performance: Manage performance across multiple production lines or departments, developing and executing plans to improve plant KPIs.
• Shape Strategic Operations: Participate in long-range planning, capital budgeting, and P&L management, influencing equipment and layout decisions.
• Secure Leadership Role: Transition into a long-term leadership position that aligns with personal career aspirations and the company’s strategic growth objectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with high academic performance in business administration, mechanical or industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-3 years of professional experience in engineering, operations, or related roles.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, high technical aptitude, excellent communication skills through active listening, presentation, verbal, and written abilities, and the capacity to set and juggle priorities as a self-starter.
• Bonus: Internship/Co-op experience in engineering or operations, leadership experience in teams, projects, or student organizations, and a strong interest in Engineering and Operations Leadership.
