Supply Chain Management Development Associate | Nestlé Purina North America

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Nestlé Purina North America, located initially in Bloomfield, Missouri or Davenport, Iowa, with required relocation to any of their 24 U.S. manufacturing sites as the program progresses. This role is part of a 30-year-old Management Development Associate program designed to cultivate future leaders by providing hands-on experience and a fast-track to management within the manufacturing side of the business, focusing specifically on supply chain operations. • Mission: This person will develop critical supply chain expertise and leadership skills through rotational assignments to optimize inventory levels, enhance process efficiency, and prepare for future management roles within manufacturing.

What You’ll Actually Do
Rotational Learning: Embark on a personal and professional development experience by exploring areas such as quality assurance, safety, engineering, human resources, production, R&D engineering, information systems, and operations performance to understand their collaboration with supply chain.
Supply Chain Optimization: Gain insight into material life cycles, developing and managing strategies to optimize inventory levels and enhance the overall efficiency of the supply chain process.
Operational Training: Complete comprehensive training in warehouse, transportation, and customer service functions, including experiencing internal and external supply chain operations like factory logistics, warehousing, and order revenue management (ORM).
Project Leadership: Contribute to operational improvements by completing assigned department improvement projects throughout the program.
Industry & Relationship Building: Develop knowledge and understanding of the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and pet care industries, including Purina brands and competition, while fostering internal and external working relationships across various disciplines, account management, and customer teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, attained or expected by June 2027.
• Experience: Must be open to relocation to any of Nestlé Purina’s 24 manufacturing sites across the U.S. as you progress through the Management Development Associate program.
• Skills: Analytical thinking for process optimization, strong communication for developing internal and external relationships, and adaptability to new environments and roles.
• Bonus: Prior internship, co-op, practicum, or manufacturing experience preferred; involvement in student organizations and/or other leadership experience preferred.
