Job Description: Engineering Intern

Responsibilities: Engineering Interns will utilize 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor modeling to support manufacturing engineering in making changes to machinery and products. They will also have opportunities to participate in design work. Interns will receive training and support from an experienced team. The position offers up to 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate school schedules.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Developing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for various ADS equipment under the guidance of the engineering team.
• Collaborating professionally with cross-functional design and project teams.
• Demonstrating proficiency in complex problem-solving and adapting to changing priorities.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Intention to continue education after the internship (unless graduating).

Job Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Proficiency in 3D modeling (Inventor preferred) and 2D drawing generation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience with file management of 3D CAD and 2D drawing files.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely around plant equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
