Job Description: Engineering Intern
Figma is looking for passionate engineers with strong coding fundamentals and a proven track record of high-quality engineering. As an intern, you’ll be fully integrated into an engineering team, working on technical projects directly related to your team’s goals.
Key responsibilities:
• Work closely with your mentor and team, collaborating with other engineers, product managers, designers, and QA.
• Design features and break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines.
• Build, document, and maintain tests, features, and infrastructure.
• Provide thoughtful feedback to your team members.
• Successfully ship your projects by the end of the internship.
Past intern projects:
• Diagramming Improvements in FigJam
• Smart selection
• Shared fonts
Desired qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical approaches into clean and fluent code, showcasing skills in CS fundamentals including algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language: Javascript, Ruby, Python, C++, Objective-C, or Java.
• Proven track record of completing projects requiring problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration in a team setting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical problems and solutions effectively.

Compensation:
• Internship pay: $51.06—$51.06 USD per hour
• Housing stipend and travel reimbursement offered.
