Construction Management Internship – Fall 2026 | Enerfab

The Tone:
This is a Construction Management internship at Enerfab, an in-person role. Enerfab offers fabrication and construction capabilities to a wide array of customers across chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, heavy industrial, and power industries, drawing on over 120 years of experience. This paid internship program, which has been running for over 40 years, is designed to be mutually beneficial, fostering a desirable workplace for interns to excel and grow as business professionals, with many current management team members having started their careers as Enerfab interns.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person

• Mission: This person will support active construction projects by assisting with technical documentation, cost estimating, RFI/submittal processes, and project closeout, contributing to project efficiency and safety.
• Tech Stack: Bluebeam, CAD, Microsoft Office, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Blueprint Reading: Utilize various computer programs including Bluebeam and CAD to work with both 2D and 3D drawings.
• Project Execution: Work alongside the Project Team to identify and produce project-specific technical and commercial documents necessary for the execution of active construction projects.
• Cost Estimating: Assist lead estimators in the process of developing project estimates for new business opportunities.
• RFI/Submittal Processes: Provide appropriate documentation, which may include specific specifications, drawings, and scope of work, to support various internal departments.
• Project Closeout Procedures: Collect all necessary documents, review change orders and modifications, ensure that order specifications have been met, and gather key takeaways for future learning.
• Safety & Quality Management: Conduct root cause analysis of any events to ensure proper controls are utilized and prevent any further instances from occurring.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled and working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience: Experience with Windows applications, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Skills: Self-motivated, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide thorough attention to detail.
• Bonus: Looking for a future career within the construction field, with a particular focus on industrial construction.
