Construction Management Internship – Spring 2027 | Enerfab
The Tone:
This is a paid internship at Enerfab, a company with over 120 years of experience, offering comprehensive fabrication and construction capabilities, likely located in Cincinnati, OH. Enerfab serves a wide array of customers across the chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, heavy industrial, and power industries, excelling in shop fabrication, field erection, and maintenance services. • Mission: To provide crucial support to the project team by producing essential technical and commercial documents for construction project execution, assisting with the development of new project estimates, managing critical RFI/Submittal and closeout documentation processes, and contributing to the analysis and improvement of safety and quality management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Blueprint Interpretation: Utilize a variety of computer programs, including Bluebeam and CAD, to interpret 2D and 3D drawings.
• Project Execution Support: Collaborate with the Project Team to identify and produce project-specific technical and commercial documents essential for active construction projects.
• Cost Estimation Assistance: Provide support to lead estimators in developing project estimates for new opportunities.
• Project Documentation Management: Handle RFI/Submittal processes by providing appropriate documentation, including specifications, drawings, and scope of work, and collect necessary documents for project closeout procedures, reviewing changes and ensuring specifications are met.
• Safety & Quality Assurance: Conduct root cause analysis of any events to ensure proper controls are implemented, preventing future instances and upholding safety and quality standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with Windows applications, including practical experience using Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Skills: Possess strong self-motivation, effective written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to provide thorough attention to detail.
• Bonus: A strong desire to pursue a future career in the construction field, with a specific focus on industrial construction projects.
