Embark Scholar Intern | KPMG
The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at KPMG, with various office and client locations. KPMG provides audit, tax, and advisory services to organizations across key industries. This role is crucial for gaining an initial understanding of how the firm serves its clients and what a career in professional services entails. Interns will contribute directly to client engagements while developing foundational skills and insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn: Rotate through audit, tax, and advisory businesses to understand client service and professional services careers.
• Support: Execute assignments within engagement teams, assisting with audit methodology, data analytics, and tax and advisory tasks.
• Prepare: Help engagement teams create work paper files, prepare client reports, deliverables, and organize business development activities.
• Analyze: Assist with identifying engagement scope, review client materials, provide insights, and propose analytical approaches for execution.
• Contribute: Support the integrity and transparency of financial information for clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career; currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accountancy, Taxation, or a related degree. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework and have at least three additional semesters remaining before degree completion or CPA eligibility after the internship.
• Experience: Must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2025.
• Skills: Excellent communication, task management, time management, and leadership skills; ability to be a flexible, adaptable, and resourceful team player to deliver high-quality work; demonstrates commitment to fostering an inclusive culture that respects and values differences.
• Bonus: Intention to obtain a CPA (for accounting majors), a preferred GPA of 3.00 or above, and prior participation in KPMG or other organizational leadership programs.
