About Elmington Elevates

Elmington Elevates is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives through innovative housing solutions and robust community-based support. In response to critical societal needs, our work has significantly expanded in recent years to address the urgent challenges faced by young adults transitioning out of foster care, particularly the profound risk of homelessness and instability.

Through pioneering initiatives such as Lumen Flats, an 18-unit supportive housing community situated in Knoxville, Tennessee, Elmington Elevates is making a tangible difference. This community actively participates in the Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) voucher program, ensuring that vulnerable young adults receive not only stable housing but also crucial community connections and comprehensive support systems during a pivotal transition period in their lives.
