Management Trainee | MetroPower
The Tone:
This is a full-time Management Trainee position at MetroPower, offering a structured learning path with a permanent assignment upon successful completion of training to an office in Florida, Georgia, or Alabama. For 40 years, MetroPower has been a leading electrical construction and service contractor, dedicated to serving DOD, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, and commercial communities across the United States. What You’ll Actually Do
• Training: Learn branch operations through a series of structured work-related assignments beginning at an entry level.
• Field Experience: Gain practical, hands-on field experience while understanding MetroPower’s mission, vision, culture, and values.
• Operational Knowledge: Acquire comprehensive understanding of worksite safety, waste elimination, estimating, bidding, leadership, sales, material handling, and order processing.
• Customer Service: Provide an outstanding level of customer service to MetroPower clients and partners.
• Team Contribution: Consistently display a positive attitude and willingness to assume a variety of training opportunities, contributing immediately within a team-based environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to learn and grow within the electrical construction industry. Related construction experience may substitute for the college education requirement.
• Experience: Willingness to learn and actively engage in a demanding work environment. Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the state of permanent assignment and maintain a clean driving record. Consistent, reliable attendance is also required.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with MetroPower employees, customers, and vendors. Must be a quick learner with a consistently positive attitude and the willingness to assume various training and supervisory opportunities. A strong understanding of Microsoft Office and the Web is essential.
• Bonus: A desire to work in a team-based environment. Willingness to travel when necessary and work in outdoor environments. A strong desire to be part of a Servant Leadership-based company and commitment to integrity.
