• Mission: Aid in the design, fabrication, setup, and testing of aircraft systems to simulate environmental and climatic conditions.
• Tech Stack: CAD software, CATIA, SolidWorks
What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Aid in the design of test fixtures for various aircraft systems.
• Fabricate: Support the fabrication of test fixtures for environmental and climatic simulations.
• Test: Assist in the setup and execution of tests simulating environmental, climatic, conditioned air flow, altitude, climate chamber, bird strike, store ejection, and wind tunnel conditions.
• Maintain: Identify maintenance needs for lab equipment and facilities to ensure ongoing testing capabilities.
• Interpret: Interpret schematics and blueprints of complex parts and systems to support testing and design.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical major.
• Experience: Coursework or practical experience with CAD applications such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or other relevant software.
• Skills: Technical planning, system integration, and validation knowledge. Must be a U.S. Citizen, requiring a government security clearance at the Secret level.
• Bonus: Demonstrated experience in test instrumentation or performing system/component tests; experience with fluid test systems and sensor applications/selection; familiarity with machining and welding trade terminology; ability to work with and direct represented employees; proficiency with MS Office.
