• Mission: Contribute to civil and geotechnical engineering projects primarily for the mining industry, supporting client objectives and problem-solving.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Work on civil and geotechnical engineering projects, primarily serving the mining industry.
• Technical Analysis: Perform site and material characterization, facility design, and conduct analyses for slope stability, seepage, consolidation, liner systems, and settlement.
• Design & Documentation: Prepare sections of technical reports, contribute to design packages including technical drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Field Assignments: Undertake domestic and international field work for geotechnical investigations and construction monitoring.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines, site-specific procedures, and complete required training while maintaining ethical decision-making.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Early career level.
• Experience: 0 to 1 year of relevant post-education experience, with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability to complete it within 6 months.
• Skills: Excellent research and analytical skills, competent interpersonal and communication skills, proficient self-leadership with strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and basic proficiency with technical writing and office automation software.
• Bonus: Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification, Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering, prior internship experience related to the degree and discipline, or active participation in professional practice organizations.
