The TL;DR
• Role: Dishwasher
• Location: In-person
• Mission: To ensure the continuous availability of clean cooking utensils and service ware, maintaining sanitary conditions for the dining experience and kitchen operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Sorting and Washing: Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware, including cooking utensils and service ware, for efficient cleaning through the dish or pot machine.
• Equipment Maintenance: Keep the dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water according to hotel standards to ensure continuous operation.
• Kitchen Cleaning: Thoroughly clean large kitchen equipment such as kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans to support cooks in their work.
• Area Sanitation: Perform general and routine cleaning tasks within the kitchen area using standard hotel cleaning products to maintain health standards.
• Safety and Organization: Clean and dry floors to prevent slip/fall accidents and accurately separate linen from other debris.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a current Food Handler Card and possess knowledge of service ware and its proper maintenance to enhance the guest experience.
• Experience: Entry-level experience in operating a commercial kitchen dish machine in accordance with hotel and health department standards.
• Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe use of cleaning products and processes, along with physical strength, stamina, and sufficient manual dexterity for kitchen equipment and tasks.
