Director of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Originations | Andra Partners, LLC

The Tone:
This is an executive position at Andra Partners, LLC, a thematic buyside Mergers & Acquisitions Originations firm. The role is remote, with a focus on specific regions across the continental U.S., including candidates in New York, Texas, Florida, and California, among others. The firm supports leading national private equity firms and strategic companies acquiring middle market and lower middle market companies. This role is crucial for expanding the firm’s business by initiating high-level dialogues and building key client relationships.

• Mission: Establish high-level business relationships with company owners and PE clients to drive transformative acquisitions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Originate: Establish private dialogues with the ownership and leadership of middle market and lower middle market company acquisition targets.
• Develop: Cultivate new private equity firm and strategic industry client acquirer relationships.
• Implement: Rigorously leverage the firm’s proprietary 6-step targeted search engagement process to generate client acquisitions.
• Partner: Collaborate with private equity and strategic industry client contacts on thematic acquisition initiatives.
• Learn: Continuously develop knowledge across a wide array of industry sectors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive leadership experience with a focus on executive outreach and relationship creation.
• Experience: Substantial senior sales or other executive outreach experience in the last 10 years, demonstrating consistent high performance and quantifiable accomplishments. Must be financially secure to sustain an estimated 12-24 month period without income during the client and pipeline building phase.
• Skills: Executive presence, results-oriented focus, organizational proficiency, and the ability to build executive relationships with new clients and acquisition targets from inception. Must be highly driven, energetic, persistent, and committed to high ethical standards, with tolerance for risk and long transaction cycles.
• Bonus: Over 20 years of overall experience after an undergraduate degree. Earned at least $200,000 annually in a current or previous position. Prior experience in M&A is advantageous but not required. Desires control over work and personal time, low travel (5% or less), and seeks a high quality of life proposition outside of corporate politics.
