Director of Human Capital Management, EMEA | Schonfeld Strategic Advisors

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, located in the EMEA region. Schonfeld is a global multi-strategy investment platform focused on generating risk-adjusted returns through its diverse trading strategies and its people. This role is critical for leading the Human Capital Management function across the firm’s EMEA offices, serving as a strategic business partner to regional leadership. The Director will drive a globally consistent, locally nuanced people strategy, manage a talented local team, and act as a trusted advisor, bridging management and employees to foster effective communication and a positive work environment.

• Mission: To lead the Human Capital Management function across EMEA, providing strategic partnership to regional leadership and serving as a bridge between management and employees to foster a positive and effective work environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Partnering: Serve as the primary Human Capital Management business partner to senior leadership in the EMEA region, providing proactive, commercially focused advice and support on all people-related matters.
• Strategic Planning & Talent Management: Partner with strategy heads, functional heads, and senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and broader people strategy initiatives. Own talent management activities, including succession planning, and drive engagement programs to elevate the employee experience and culture.
• Compensation & Benefits: Oversee the EMEA benefits and payroll activities for the region, and provide guidance on the regional compensation framework, including salary, bonus, and deferred compensation.
• Employee Relations & Compliance: Advise on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, separations, and sensitive investigations, confidently navigating UK employment law and UAE labour law. Collaborate with legal partners on employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and regulatory requirements, ensuring global policy alignment.
• HR Operations & Analytics: Own key Human Resources activities such as performance improvement plans, headcount analysis & reporting, and end-to-end process management of leavers. Leverage people analytics to spot trends, quantify risk, and present actionable insights, ensuring HR data integrity and accuracy through HRIS.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level professional with extensive Human Capital Management / HR experience, preferably with significant time spent in financial services, specifically hedge funds, asset management, or investment banking.
• Experience: Over 10 years of HCM / HR experience, including demonstrated leadership of an HCM function or team while remaining hands-on in a lean, fast-moving environment. Strong HR business partner experience within financial services with a focus on optimizing talent and building culture.
• Skills: Regional expertise in EMEA employment practices, a strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and UAE Labor Law, strong commercial acumen, exceptional judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence. Strong analytical skills and a data-focused mindset.
• Bonus: Ability to work in a global business, building strong, effective, and trusted relationships in multiple geographies; capacity to constructively challenge and influence senior business leaders on organizational strategy and goals.
