This opportunity is part of the DoD SkillBridge program, a military transitional program designed to help active duty service members gain civilian work experience.
• Role Being Filled: Cummins is specifically looking for military members to fill the role of a Diesel Engine Technician.
• Locations:
• Primary Location: Charlotte, NC
• Alternate Locations (may include): Greensboro, NC and Kenly, NC
• Responsibilities & Eligibility Criteria for DoD SkillBridge:
• Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember.
• Must be separating from the Military in 4-12 months.
• Must be able to complete a minimum of 8 weeks and up to a maximum of 6 months SkillBridge internship.
• Must be able to complete 40 hours per week.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn from others on the job.
• Compensation and Benefits:
• During SkillBridge Internship: This is a military transitional program that does not provide compensation through Cummins. Service members continue to receive their military pay and benefits during the internship.
• Upon Full-time Employment (if selected after SkillBridge): If selected for full-time employment with Cummins upon completion of the SkillBridge program, the individual will be eligible for:
• Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
• Additional benefits that vary by location, potentially including:
