What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive secretarial and clerical services, managing appointments, correspondence, supplies, and mail for college administrators, faculty, and staff.
• Program & Event Coordination: Plan, develop, and implement various college-related events and functions, including fundraising activities and special programs.
• Staff Supervision & Training: Assign work activities and projects to clerical and student help, monitoring workflow, evaluating work, and assisting in staff training.
• Record Management & Reporting: Prepare and process a variety of reports, forms, and payroll, including teacher absences and student assistant time cards, while maintaining organized filing systems.
• Budget Administration: Participate in budget preparation and administration, preparing cost estimates, justifying budget items, and monitoring expenditures for departmental and specially funded projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduation from high school.
• Experience: Three years of responsible clerical experience, providing specialized clerical support requiring broad knowledge of an assigned program or functional area.
• Skills: Modern office procedures, word processing methods, correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic. Ability to interpret and apply District policies, perform general secretarial and clerical work, train staff, participate in budget administration, operate office machines, understand and follow directions, communicate effectively, and establish cooperative working relationships.
